Harry's in Gainesville was a great experience. Took my son and his wife there for their anniversary. Relaxed environment , attentive staff, and each dish was prepared perfectly. The seafood, pasta, steak, were all cooked to the optimal and requested doneness. The seasoning and spice was on point for each dish. I would recommend a reservation on weekends.

1st time coming. Loved the vibe! Walked in, & got seated right away. Hostess was really friendly. Our server Fidel greeted us immediately. Very well mannered. Impressed that he didn't need to write down our order. Ordered the Boudin Balls. 1st time trying & they were delicious! Definitely recommend them 100%. For entrees, we went with Jambalaya with pasta. You can never go wrong with Jambalaya. Shrimp & Scallop Orleans on top of some fried grit cakes, with a side of collard greens & red beans & rice. Both our appetizer & food came out really quick. The burst of flavors! Wow! Hope to come back soon!

Service was great! Old fashioned was really good, upgraded to Makers Mark whiskey and it was really strong in a good way. Mahi fish dish was great and the pasta dish was tasty too.

The food was great and service was very good. We both tried something new and really enjoyed the choices we made, plus the dessert.

Love the old timey vibe with attentive staff...though a certain half asleep blonde hostess was anything but welcoming. Enjoyed a super delicious Shrimp & Crab Remoulade Dinner salad. Yum. The Crab Crusted Redfish Royale was just as good. Bananas foster for dessert raised the question: were the bananas sautéed? No, though it was still was very good. Still overall it's an excellent choice in Gainesville!

Came here on the weekend of UF graduation. Got seated very fast which was good. It was fairly empty for the time of the day. Our server was super nice and sweet. The food was good, fresh and tasty! I wouldn't say it's amazing but maybe because I wasn't feeling it that day at all . The portions are decent size some of the people in my party had bunch of left overs. I would for sure go there again with different groups of people for more pleasant experience and where I could get to try some appetizers perhaps. So please don't let my experience cloud your judgement.

Came to dinner here last night and was not disappointed. The table started off with the Louisiana fondeaux and WOW was that amazing! Could have used more of the bread that came with it but our server brought over some rolls with butter and we just used that and it was still a good pairing. I ordered the bourbon street salmon and it was very yummy with great flavor. My mashed potatoes and green beans were equally delicious. I also got their espresso martini as I saw they used illy cold brew coffee in it & that was a perfect drink. Great place & location in downtown area but there was construction going on nearby street so some sidewalks were closed down. Street parking and parking garages available. We were also there during happy hour so we got our drinks on discount which was a nice bonus! With there was a location closer to home but will def have to come back when I'm in the area again.

Came to my hometown to join my family in throwing my aunt a surprised bday party. We rsvp'd for a total of 30 people and they gave us a great spot with plenty of space in the back. We had two servers I can't remember the names but it was a guy and a girl and they were great. Everything came out timely and fresh and as always the food is always amazing here.

I discovered this gem on Yelp and was eager to give it a try. Despite our tight schedule, we managed to stop by today. Joseph, our server, provided exceptional service--one of the best we've experienced. He was incredibly kind, efficient, and professional. The fresh bread was delicious with garlic butter in the side. The outside was like a crispy thin paper with a soft fluffy interior. The shrimp and grits were simply divine. The sweet corn-infused grits were cooked to perfection, and the flavorful sauce complemented them beautifully. The shrimp were impeccably fresh and cooked just right. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their shrimp and fish tacos. The restaurant's New Orleans ambiance added to the experience, and it was impeccably clean. Already looking forward to our next visit!
